WRESTLING MATCHES ARE ON FOR TOMORROW – JANUARY 14TH

The wrestling matches are on for tomorrow – January 14th.  Varsity will be wrestling in Mahomet and JV will be at Leroy.

Principal Eric Bohm is pleased to announce that 13 PTHS students from the graduating class of 2017 have been recognized as Illinois State Scholars. The Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC), the state agency committed to helping make college accessible and affordable for Illinois families, confers this prestigious recognition annually to top Illinois high school students. WRESTLING MATCH WILL AIR ON MEDIACOM

We are excited to announce that the wrestling match versus Olympia on January 12th will be aired on MC22, available to Mediacom subscribers.  The times the match will air will be January 13th at 7:00pm, January 14th at 10:00pm, and January 15th at 5:00pm.

MANDATORY SOFTBALL MEETING

There will be a mandatory meeting for anyone interested in playing Softball this Spring on Tuesday, January 10th right after school in Room 107. If you know you will be unable to attend you must see Coach Ropp for necessary information.

PTHS & LACC ARE CLOSED TUES. DEC. 20TH

​PTHS and LACC are closed Tues Dec 20th. PTHS Exams are optional. See emails from Mr. Bohm and Mrs. Graves for exam details. PTHS optional exams are on Dec. 28th. Check emails for additional information from teachers and Mr. Bohm.  Please feel free to contact your teacher through email if you have any questions or if you are considering taking the optional exam on Dec. 28th.

HOT LUNCH MENU CHANGE FOR TUES. DEC. 20TH

Attentions Students: There is a cafeteria menu change for the hot lunch line for tomorrow — cheese pizza will be served instead of chicken tetrazzini.

​PTHS & LACC are CLOSED Mon. Dec. 19 due to icey road conditions and low wind chills. Students should prepare for exams on Tuesday. We will dismiss at 3:10 Tues.

NEW TEAMS VOTED TO PTHS ATHLETIC HALL OF FAME

Congratulations to the Pontiac Township High School 1998 Football and 2000 Boys Track and Field teams for being voted into the PTHS Athletic Hall of Fame!  All lettermen of those teams are invited to join us on Friday, February 3 at 7:00pm in the high school commons for the induction ceremony, taking place right before the Varsity Basketball game with IVC.

PTHS MUSIC DEPARTMENT TO PRESENT “HOLIDAY DELIGHTS”

The Pontiac High School Music Department will present their annual Christmas Concert Sunday, December 11th, in the PTHS Auditorium at 2:00 p.m.  The concert will feature the musical talents of the students of the music department in a presentation of festive Christmas music for the enjoyment of the audience.  The concert is a free presentation. Opening the program will be the Symphonic Band performing “Christmas Day” by Gustav Holst/Daehn.  They will follow with the traditional favorite, “Sleigh Ride” by Leroy Anderson.  The band will finish with “Go Tell It On The Mountain” arr by Jay Dawson.   The Concert Band will be performing “Of Festive Bells and Ancient Kings” by Charles...

HENRY WOODBURN PLACES 3RD IN VOICE OF DEMOCRACY CONTEST

Congratulations to Henry Woodburn for placing 3rd in the district for the 2016 Voice of Democracy contest. The topic this year was “My Responsibility to America.” Henry received a $50 scholarship from VFW Post 886.
