ILLINI PRAIRIE ART SHOW

Pontiac Township High School recently hosted the inaugural Illini Prairie Art Show.  The students were judged in Black and White Drawing, Color Drawing, Ceramics, Painting, Printmaking, Mixed Media, Sculpture, Pen & Inks,  Photography, and Computer-Aided Design.  Schools that participated were Pontiac, Prairie Central, Bloomington Central Catholic, IVC, Olympia, St. Thomas Moore, Monticello, Rantoul, St. Joseph Ogden, and Tolono Unity.   Award winners for Pontiac were Bethany Jewel-1st Place Black and White Drawing,  Nicolle Leon-Araujo-2nd place Black and White Drawing and 3rd place Mixed Media, Sam Sipe-Painting-1st place,  Josie Noonan-1st place Photography and 3rd place-Computer-aided art, and...

2018 LIVINGSTON COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT SCHOOL & SPORTS PHYSICAL CLINICS

School & Sports Physicals all being offered by appointment only on Wednesdays:  June 13, 20, 27,  July 11, 18, 25 and August 1.  Call the Health Department at 815-844-7174, ext. 210 to schedule your appointment.  Charges will be billed to Private Insurance or Medicaid.  The private pay fee is $55 for students without insurance coverage.  Physicals will be done by a Nurse Practitioner.

LAPTOP TURN IN FOR SENIORS STARTS THIS THURSDAY, MAY 10TH

Reminding all seniors that the final day to turn in your laptop is Tuesday, May 15th. Laptop turn in starts May 10th and can be turned in between 8:00am and 4:00pm between May 10th and May 15th. Power cord, case, and earbuds need to be turned in with the laptop to avoid any fees. Please contact the Student Help Desk in Room 109a if you have any questions.

LONG TIME DISTRICT EMPLOYEES TO RETIRE

We welcome our PTHS community to help us celebrate the retirement of two long time district employees, Tom Ramseyer and Roger Henkel.  On Wednesday, May 2nd at Baby Bull’s from 3:30pm – 6:00pm, will you please join us as we will host a retirement reception to celebrate the many years they have given to the district.

CLASS OF 2019 IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS FOR 2018-2019

Attention Parents/Guardians:  The Class of 2019 immunization requirements for the 2018/2019 school year are as follows:   All 12th graders will be required to have a meningococcal vaccine (meningitis) on/after the age of 16. The student Health Center will have the meningitis vaccine available from now until the end of the school year, if you would like your student to receive it while at school.   Attached is the paperwork for your student to receive the vaccination at PTHS.  We can bill your insurance; however, it is your responsibility to make sure your insurance will cover the cost.  If you do not have insurance, the cost is $20.  We can also bill Medicaid.  Proof of this immunization will be...

SPRING CHORAL CONCERT 3PM, SUNDAY, APRIL 29

“Spring Awakening!”  The Choral Department will hold is Spring Choral Concert on Sunday, April 29 at 3:00pm in the PTHS Auditorium. Enjoy selections from the Men’s Chorus, the Women’s Choruses Bel Canto and Cantabile our Concert Choir  and our  Vocal Jazz ensemble Route 66! Selections will include American Folk Songs, Sea Chanties, Spirituals as well as music set to poets such as Edgar Allen Poe and Emily Dickinson! You can even hear a favorite Beatles selection!
