JAKE LANNING AND KEVIN GSCHWENDTNER PLACE AT IHSA STATE WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIPS

Jake Lanning and Kevin Gschwendtner both placed at the IHSA State Wrestling Championships.  Jake placed 1st at 170 and Kevin placed 4th at 160.  Both of them had an amazing year and 4-year career at Pontiac Township High School!  Congratulations Jake, Kevin, and Coach Christenson!

PTHS BAND TO PRESENT “A NIGHT AT THE MOVIES” THURSDAY, FEB 23RD

The Pontiac Township High School Band Department will present their annual Winter Pops Concert Thursday evening, February 23rd, at 7:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium.  The concert will feature the Symphonic and Concert Bands, Swinging Bridge Brass quintet, and student soloist, Eric Zega, Trumpet and Henry Woodburn, Snare Drum.  Also performing will be a Mixed Duet consisting of Danika Mayback on Euphonium and Tatum Joerndt on Flute. The Concert Band has prepared arrangements of “The Incredibles”, “Disney Blockbusters” including Under The Sea, Beauty and the Beast, Friend Like Me, and A Whole New World, and music from “The Hunger Games”.  The Symphonic will perform “The Lion King”,...

MOBILE DENTIST IS COMING TO PTHS ON MONDAY, APRIL 3RD

The Mobile Dentist is coming to PTHS on Monday, April 3rd. The Mobile Dentist provides in-school dental care and there may be no cost to the parent. The Dental care includes complete exam, x-rays, cleaning, fluoride, and sealants when needed, and in some cases, restorative care such as fillings. To participate, simply fill out the enrollment form listed below and return it to the school TODAY. The deadline for the enrollment forms is March 29th. WINTER CHORAL SHOWCASE CONCERT

The Pontiac Township High School Choral Program proudly presents its Winter Choral Showcase Concert on Thursday, February 16 at 7:00pm in the Pontiac Township High School Auditorium! Enjoy selections from the Concert Choir, our two women’s ensembles Bel Canto and Cantabile, our Men’s Choir, male barbershop quartet, We’ll Take it From Here and Vocal Jazz Choir Route 66! RUN FOR RESPECT 2017

This week the Pontiac City Council unanimously voted to declare March 4th and 5th as Pontiac Spread the Word to End the Word Respect Days.  Make sure you mark your calendar for the Annual 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk on Saturday, April 22nd at 10:00am. CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR WRESTLING TEAM SECTIONAL QUALIFIERS

Congratulations to our wrestling team sectional qualifiers:  132 Payton Pulliam – 2nd Place, 160 Keving Gschwendtner – 1st Place, 170 Jake Lanning – 1st Place and new pin record 37-0, 220 Liam Melvin – 4th Alternate, 285 Devin Cross – 4th Alternate.

BOYS SWIMMING DEFEND THEIR CORN BELT CONFERENCE INVITATION CROWN

Boys Swim team successfully defended its Corn Belt Conference Invitational crown on Saturday, February 4th. It required a great team effort to defeat Mahomet, Central Catholic, Olympia, Charleston, St Thomas Moore and Routt Catholic. Including a school record in the 100 freestyle by Brett Spires of 49.31.
