About Us

Established in 1901, Pontiac District 90 offers grades 9 through 12 education to approximately 700 students.  We provide a four-year college and career preparatory curriculum, and our faculty of ambitious teachers are ready to deliver the very best content for our over 100 course offerings.  Our students have access to honors level courses and seven dual credit courses through area community colleges in addition to nine Advanced Placement courses.

We boast an awarding winning music department (including top IMEA State Awards for individuals and groups) that is dedicated to community pride, positive student experiences, and musical excellence.  Our FFA Chapter is top-notch and has been awarded the Model of Excellence Award as the top FFA Chapter in the nation in recent years.  We are also a Special Olympic Unified Champion National Banner School and earned the Top School in Illinois by ESPN in 2018 for our work in building a more inclusive school.

Our student-athletes compete in the Illini Prairie Conference and have enjoyed success as both individuals and teams in the IHSA state series championships.  Every year we have multiple student-athletes decide to continue their athletic and academic careers at the collegiate level.

Our campus includes highly maintained facilities and grounds, a very robust wireless infrastructure that services our technology one-to-one program, and a career center hub that offers career and technical education to junior and seniors, including dual credit courses.

At Pontiac District 90, "we are committed to our development as adaptive learners, global thinkers, and responsible citizens through collaboration across our school community."   ~  MISSION STATEMENT
